Review And Assesment Week(Christmas)

For the review and assessment week we had to make a storyboard for a company making washing powder.we had 2 weeks to do the assessment and hand it in ,in the official college manner .

For this task we had to make a questionnaire for a mobile company,we had to ask people questions about their mobile phone and what they prefer in an mobile phone and how much they would pay for a phone.

Task 1/12/11

We got a task on an a4 page with pictures of a Dairy milk bar,herald and Dunboyne gym.
we had to do up a cycle that associates with those products

e.g   Dairy milk- Farmers,Machines,Packaging people,Advertisements,employees

these are the people that associate with the product and all do some work to produce the product.

Video Promo

In class we had to choose a favourite song and create a video using windows movie maker,the pictures had to match the lyrics of the song.i found this task very fun and easy to do,although it is very awkward getting all the pictures as the internet in college is very slow.

Design

we got a task in class today to make a flyer using Microsoft publisher.The client was a Dunboyne community library which were holding a table quiz and all the money was going towards the renovation of the library.

Frequent Design Errors

Today in class we had to look for a bad design websites,
which had a very bad design and has lot of flashing and blinking, border less photographs,badly sized margins,corner clutter etc.
we had to write how to make the website better.

Multimedia Project Development

Today we had to describe a list of websites that were given to us,we had to go to the actual website research around the website and discuss it,we had to list the bad and good features of the website.We also had to write what the websites target is .

today we got few questions that had to be typed out and answered. I found it easy and handy as I got to know what actually most things are in multimedia, I had to research on the internet and look at stuff.

what is multimedia?

Today in class we actually found out what exactly Multimedia is. Its the split up of three contents which are Multimedia Authoring,Multimedia Project development and Design.

We then also found out the input devices needed for media such as mouse,keyboard,printer and usb cables.
five modalities are visual,auditory,tactile,touch and olfactory.

Scanpen

Today in class we got a task asking us to make a storyboard on a new product called the scan pen,we had to make a ad from a storyboard.I found it very easy but hard to draw and explain yourself.

Task

Today we had to use Microsoft  and explain how to use Microsoft by typing step by step out,and uploading pictures. The task was to make sure if somebody reads the task and will be able to understand how to use Microsoft .
